Nucleus colonies (nucs) are arguably the best way to get started in beekeeping or expand your apiary!  The nucs come in a 5 frame medium nuc box brimming with bees, and are ready to transfer into your hive at home.  Pick up only!

Inside of the nuc box are 5 medium frames of bees, with roughly 4 frames of brood, a frame of nectar/pollen, and a freshly mated 2025 queen.  Queens are produced from our best instrumentally inseminated breeder queen stock.

Choose your genetics!

• Mite biter bees originated out of Purdue University and chew varroa mites in the colony to suppress mite growth.
• Italian honey bees are known for their gentle nature, prolific brood production, and excellent honey-gathering abilities.
• Carniolan honey bees are known for their gentle temperament, excellent overwintering ability, and strong resistance to diseases and pest.

We select for gentleness, honey production, and over-wintering ability in all of our stocks.

Pick up will be in May or early June.  We will reach out to you 1-2 weeks ahead of the pick up date with detailed instructions.  Orders are filled in order received.  Pick up location will be in the Oil City and Titusville PA areas.
